District Discussions

I hosted multiple resident forums where I brought together residents and their elected officials to discuss upcoming city matters, budget priorities, and issues impacting our neighborhoods.

Started each of my meetings with β€œWhen are we starting on Duvall Field?” Helped push for immediate start.

Developed and led an internship program for College Park, University of Maryland, and Maryland native students.

Championed Hollywood’s Farmer’s Market

Introduced new signage and promotional materials to enhance Farmer's Market experience for vendors and customers.

Lobbied to keep Voting

Advocated strongly to support keeping a polling place open in North College Park for residents who live North of Maryland 193.

Connecting with Parkdale High School Students

Building bridges by mentoring our public high school students - build relationships with our educators, and create new connections to help serve our youth.

Advocated for Economic Development in North College Park

Actively worked with the City to fill vacant store fronts with new businesses. Supported existing businesses in commercial spaces north of MD-193 by securing thousands of dollars to small businesses.

Advocated for Food Security

Both during the city’s budget discussions and out in the field worked together with our nongovernmental partners to help combat food insecurity.

Partnered with Hollywood Elementary School

Developed trust with the Hollywood Parent Teacher Association, presented at Career Day, and regularly met with Hollywood Elementary School’s administration. Advocated for city grants to support programs at Hollywood for $130,000 over the past two years.

Partnered with Monarch Preschool

Worked with Monarch Preschool leadership to support the buildout of a playground with $50,000 and increase State scholarships for grants to increase local College Park enrollment.

Prioritized Public Safety

Fought for increased awareness to public safety concerns in North College Park, especially prioritizing improving relations between the residents and our Contract Police.

Amplified City’s Committee’s Platform

Amplified existing committees and board members at Hollywood Farmer’s Market. Increased awareness of city programs to all residents. We thank you for your service to the residents of College Park!

Worked with the American Legion Post 217 Auxiliary to educate young participants to learn about local gardening.

Beautified our Neighborhood Open Spaces

Worked with neighbors and local DMV artist to build little library and little pantry along with leading to build out benches and paint the stormdrain.

Partnered with University of Maryland and Resident Leaders to organize clean ups around the neighborhood!
